This book about a safari has a wonderful rhythm with repetition of phrases should be appealing to young children. Lenny Hort's text is based on the traditional chant "We're going on a bear hunt."

The beauty of this book is in its illustrations. Tom Arma is known as the ‘most published baby photographer in the world.' Each spread introduces a different animal from the savannah, rainforest or mountain area. Every illustration contains a photograph of a child in an animal costume against a background of a painting of the real animal in its natural habitat.

Excellent book for 3-6 year olds.
